About Our School

Doral Park is a tuition-free public high school serving grades 9-12 for students through age 21*. We feature open enrollment and two sessions per day – morning and afternoon – providing unique schedule flexibility that empowers students to receive a quality education and earn their high school diploma while working, caring for family, or managing other commitments.

Once enrolled, we work with students to create an Individualized Success Plan (ISP) so they can immediately begin courses and start earning credits toward their high school diploma. Courses are computer-based and self-paced with personalized support provided by state-certified teachers.

*End of semester in which student turns 21. Student with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) have till the end of semester in which student turns 22.

About Our Model

Our program is thoughtfully designed to satisfy the needs of our diverse learners. From enrollment to graduation (and beyond!), we're here to support you.

Tracking Progress

Each student’s personalized Success Dashboard offers instant feedback, displaying progress on current coursework, attendance, course grades, GPA, and credits earned. Students meet regularly with academic advisors as they progress through their goals. Parents and Guardians receive access to the same dashboard and Parents Nights twice a year.

Academic Support

Our teacher-directed, computer-based program, paired with comprehensive assessments, enables us to uniquely serve each student and shape individual instruction to address specific needs. Detailed reports provide our staff with robust data to help determine coaching and tutoring strategies for success on required End-of-Course Assessments.

Language Support

Our program is also designed to serve English Language Learners (ELL). Courses can be translated and instructed in Spanish, Haitian Creole, and 23 other languages. Our Curriculum is supported by specialized bi-lingual teachers trained to help first-time English learners.

Career Support

Career Coaches provide additional instructional time focused on employability, career and college readiness, and post-secondary options. Beyond career planning, our courses can include Career and Technical Education (CTE) which includes role-specific training and certification designed around in-demand jobs.

Social Support

Our teacher advocate model pairs each student a primary teacher while assigning a secondary mentor to help guide each student through their journey. Family Support Specialists (FFS) work closely with faculty, staff, licensed counselors, and community resource providers to offer comprehensive wraparound services to meet each student’s personal needs.

The Finish Line

As soon as enough credits are earned, students can graduate immediately with a standard diploma. Graduation ceremonies are held in June.
