Word of the Week January 29 - February 2

Our word of the week is OBSOLETE. Obsolete is an adjective that means no longer produced, nor longer used, or out of date. Things become obsolete when they are no longer useful. New technology often makes old technology obsolete. For example, pay phones can be considered obsolete because most people carry a cell phone. Typewriters became essentially obsolete because computers are more practical. The longer you live, the more you will see objects (and even jobs) become obsolete, but luckily there are better things to replace it.

Throughout this week, pay attention to the things you think will become obsolete one day, and challenge yourself to use the word in conversation or classwork
