Our second word of the week is NOSTALGIA. The definition of nostalgia is: a sentimental longing for the past. Nostalgia is the feeling you get when you miss being a little kid, when you miss your old school, or when you miss a person from your past. It's a bittersweet feeling: you feel happiness remembering good times, but also sadness because you can't go back to those times. What causes nostalgia? So many things can evoke that feeling: old pictures, a yearbook, driving by an old neighborhood, or even a perfume! Throughout this week, challenge yourself to use NOSTALGIA in your conversations or your written assignments!
